Israel's army announced on Saturday that five new areas along its northern border with Lebanon have been designated as closed military zones. The announcement comes amid ongoing clashes between Israeli forces and Hezbollah inside Lebanon.
In an official statement, the army specified that the areas of Zarit, Shomera, Shtula, Netua, and Even Menachem in northern Israel will be declared closed military zones effective from 20:00 local time (17:00 GMT) on the same day. The statement emphasized, \\"Entry to this area is prohibited.\\"
The decision was made following a \\"situational assessment\\" of security conditions along the border. Residents and civilians are advised to adhere strictly to the new restrictions for their safety.
