Chinese motorcycle manufacturer ZXMOTO has rewritten motorsport history this week, securing two consecutive SSP class championships at the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) in Portugal on March 28-29. This unprecedented achievement breaks a decades-long dominance by European, American, and Japanese brands in the premier motorcycle racing series.
Founded in 2024 by former mechanic Zhang Xue, the Chengdu-based company achieved this milestone just two years after its establishment. Zhang's journey from repairing bikes at age 14 to leading a championship-winning engineering team has become emblematic of China's growing technological prowess in high-performance manufacturing.
The victory signals a strategic shift in global motorsports, with industry analysts noting increased interest in Chinese automotive innovation. "This isn't just about racing – it's about proving our capabilities in precision engineering and sustainable R&D," said a ZXMOTO spokesperson during the victory celebrations.
