Iran Releases Satellite Images of US Base Attacks, Claims Successful Operation

Iran has released satellite images purportedly showing the aftermath of its March 12 military strikes targeting three US military installations in the Middle East. The visuals compare pre- and post-attack conditions at Qatar's Al Udeid Air Base, the UAE's Al Dhafra Air Base, and Saudi Arabia's Prince Sultan Air Base during an operation Tehran calls "True Promise 4."

The images, circulated through state media channels, show darkened impact zones and structural damage at the bases. Iranian military officials claim the strikes demonstrate their "precision strike capabilities" against what they describe as "foreign occupation forces" in the region. The US Department of Defense has not yet verified the authenticity of the images but confirmed all targeted bases remain operational.

Analysts note this marks Iran's first public release of military-grade satellite intelligence since 2023, signaling advancements in its surveillance technologies. The operation comes amid heightened tensions following recent naval confrontations in the Strait of Hormuz. Regional business leaders express concern over potential impacts on energy markets, with Brent crude futures rising 2.1% since the attack disclosure.
