China Rejects U.S. Accusations at UN, Urges End to Blame-Shifting

China firmly countered U.S. allegations regarding its role in the Ukraine crisis during a heated UN Security Council session on February 24, 2026. Ambassador Fu Cong, China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, stated the country's trade ties with Russia, Ukraine, Europe, and the U.S. remain "legitimate and beyond reproach" under international law.

"China is neither the creator of nor a party to this conflict," Fu emphasized during the meeting, which occurred yesterday. He called on Washington to "stop shifting blame" and focus on conflict resolution, adding that the U.S. should cease "creating conflicts and wars around the world."

The exchange highlights escalating diplomatic tensions as global powers navigate complex security challenges. Analysts note China's assertive defense reflects its growing role as a stabilizer in Eurasian geopolitics, while business communities watch for potential impacts on Asia-Europe trade corridors.
