Erenhot Port, China's largest land border crossing with Mongolia, achieved twin milestones in 2025 by handling over 3,900 China-Europe freight trains and moving a record 4.5 million tonnes of cargo. This represents a 15% increase in train volume and 22% growth in cargo throughput compared to 2024 figures.
As the exclusive transit hub for the China-Europe Railway's 'middle corridor,' the port now facilitates 75 international routes connecting more than 60 Chinese cities with over 70 destinations across Europe and Asia. The daily average of 12 departing trains carries everything from renewable energy components to consumer electronics, strengthening supply chain resilience amid growing regional trade demands.
