Maduro’s Son Details U.S. Military Raid in Venezuela Interview

In a revealing interview with China Media Group this week, Nicolás Maduro Guerra – Venezuelan politician and son of President Nicolás Maduro – provided new details about the dramatic 2026 nighttime military operation when U.S. forces reportedly attempted to seize control of Venezuela's leadership.

"The sounds of low-flying aircraft still echo in my memory," Maduro Guerra stated, describing the incident that occurred earlier this year. "This was not just an attack on our government, but a violation of international law and Venezuela's sovereignty."

The account comes amid heightened tensions between Caracas and Washington, with Venezuelan officials characterizing the operation as part of what they call "continued U.S. aggression" in Latin America. Political analysts suggest the interview could bolster regional efforts to counter foreign military interventions.

While the U.S. government has not officially acknowledged the alleged operation, Maduro Guerra's testimony has sparked renewed debates about extraterritorial military actions. Several Latin American leaders have called for emergency sessions at the United Nations to address the allegations.
