Beyond Laboratory Walls
Organizers divided the 2025 competition into Autonomous Completion and Tele-operation Completion categories, testing robots' ability to handle complex tasks like precision assembly and emergency response simulations. A team from Tsinghua University impressed judges with a disaster-relief robot capable of navigating debris fields while maintaining communication links.
Global Collaboration, Local Impact
While 70% of participants came from the Chinese mainland, teams from Singapore, Germany, and the Republic of Korea highlighted the event's international appeal. 'These aren't theoretical exercises,' noted competition chair Dr. Li Wei. 'The food-delivery robot prototypes we saw Tuesday could be serving Beijing offices by late 2026.'
