Singaporean scholar Kishore Mahbubani has highlighted widespread international relief following the successful conclusion of recent trade negotiations between China and the United States. The distinguished fellow at the National University of Singapore's Asia Research Institute emphasized that the 2025 agreement preserves stability in global supply chains crucial to Asian economies.
"This outcome demonstrates both major powers' commitment to maintaining open markets and multilateral trade frameworks," Mahbubani stated, noting the agreement's timing ahead of key APEC economic meetings. Analysts suggest the resolution removes uncertainty that had impacted investment decisions across Southeast Asia's manufacturing hubs.
