CMG Launches Festive TV Specials for National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival

China Media Group (CMG) has unveiled a star-studded lineup of holiday programming to mark China's National Day on October 1 and the Mid-Autumn Festival, blending cultural celebration with reflections on national progress. The special broadcasts aim to connect global audiences with China's traditions while showcasing its development journey.

Highlights include the "Sunrise in the East" live broadcast from Beijing's Tiananmen Square on National Day morning, symbolizing new beginnings. The 2025 National Day Special will feature documentary-style segments highlighting technological achievements and rural revitalization projects. For the Mid-Autumn Gala, CMG promises a fusion of traditional mooncake-making demonstrations with modern holographic stage designs, emphasizing family reunion themes.

"These programs serve as a cultural bridge," a CMG spokesperson noted. "They allow overseas compatriots to participate in homeland celebrations while helping international viewers understand China's social harmony and development priorities." The schedule includes multilingual broadcasts to accommodate global time zones.
