Beijing’s V-Day Parade Highlights Peace Commitment Amid Taiwan Attention

China's military parade commemorating the 78th anniversary of Victory Day on September 3 showcased Beijing's resolve to preserve regional stability while addressing growing interest from residents of Taiwan, according to the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.

Spokesperson Chen Binhua emphasized the event symbolized China's dual commitment to historical remembrance and modern peacekeeping efforts. "This demonstration honors past sacrifices while reinforcing our dedication to justice and conflict prevention in Asia," Chen stated during a press briefing, responding to heightened discussions about the parade across the Taiwan Strait.

The display comes as cross-strait relations remain a focal point for regional security analysts. While the parade featured advanced defense systems, officials stressed its purpose aligns with China's longstanding policy of non-aggression and peaceful development principles.
