Zhejiang’s Hwahoo Aviation Soars with German-Designed TRIXY Autogyro

In Zhejiang Province, a hub of technological innovation, Hwahoo Aviation Technology is pioneering China's low-altitude economy through its production of the TRIXY autogyro. This German-designed aircraft combines agility with an 800-kilometer range, offering modern safety systems and vertical landing capabilities that could redefine regional transportation.

During an exclusive facility tour, CGTN's Merna Al Nasser explored the cockpit and interviewed pilots who demonstrated the autogyro's unique maneuverability. "It's not just an aircraft – it's a solution for emergency services, agriculture, and tourism," explained chief test pilot Zhang Wei.

International observers present at the demonstration coined creative comparisons, with one journalist describing it as "a helicopter and motorbike fusion" while others speculated about its potential for urban air mobility. The aircraft's composite materials and hybrid propulsion system particularly impressed engineering experts.

As a subsidiary of Sino-German Aircraft, Hwahoo represents growing technological collaboration between the Chinese mainland and European partners. Production manager Li Xia noted: "Each TRIXY embodies precision engineering while meeting China's specific operational requirements."

With Zhejiang authorities actively supporting low-altitude industry development, this innovation signals new opportunities in China's aviation sector and beyond.
