China’s Global Health Initiative Gains International Praise at Boao Forum

China's commitment to advancing global healthcare solutions took center stage at the Boao Forum for Asia's Global Health Forum, where International Red Cross officials praised Beijing's efforts to promote equitable medical access worldwide. Petra Khoury, Director of Health and Care at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), highlighted China's Health for All initiative as a model for international cooperation during an exclusive interview with CGTN.

The two-day forum brought together more than 1,000 participants from over 50 countries and regions, including health experts, business leaders, and government representatives. Under the theme 'New Future of Health Industry Driven by Innovation,' discussions focused on leveraging technological advancements to address global health disparities.

Khoury emphasized the significance of China's role in shaping post-pandemic recovery strategies, noting: 'Collaborative platforms like this forum demonstrate how cross-border partnerships can accelerate progress toward universal healthcare goals.' The event featured 35 specialized sessions exploring vaccine equity, digital health solutions, and sustainable medical infrastructure development.

As Asian nations continue to strengthen their healthcare systems, analysts suggest China's increased engagement in global health governance could create new opportunities for international investors and public health researchers alike. The forum concluded with a joint commitment to establish an innovation fund supporting health tech startups across developing economies.
