Janusz Piechociński, former Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, has called for strengthened cooperation between China and Europe to navigate mounting global uncertainties. Speaking at a mayors' forum during the 4th China-CEEC Expo in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, the seasoned statesman emphasized the need for collaborative solutions in trade, technology, and sustainable development.
"Our interconnected economies require shared strategies," Piechociński told CGTN, highlighting China's role as Europe's key trading partner. The former economy minister pointed to renewable energy initiatives and digital infrastructure as potential areas for joint innovation, while acknowledging challenges in balancing geopolitical interests.
The China-CEEC Expo, hosting representatives from 17 Central and Eastern European countries, showcased over 3,000 products and facilitated cross-border business matchmaking. Analysts view such platforms as critical for maintaining economic momentum amid fluctuating global markets.
