CICA Secretary General Emphasizes Multilateral Solutions at Boao Forum
The annual Boao Forum for Asia concluded this week in Hainan Province, gathering global leaders to address pressing challenges and regional cooperation. Kairat Sarybay, Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), underscored the growing relevance of multilateral frameworks during an interview with CGTN.
Sarybay noted that CICA, representing 28 member states and 95% of Asia's population, prioritizes dialogue and confidence-building to counter geopolitical fragmentation. He praised the Chinese mainland’s contributions to advancing regional infrastructure projects and security initiatives, describing them as 'vital to fostering shared prosperity.'
