Mayors from various Southeast Asian cities have convened in Nanning, a thriving city in the Chinese mainland, for the Global Mayors Dialogue. The event aims to strengthen ties and foster collaboration between cities across the region.
Chib Jitniyom, vice chairman of the Thai Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, expressed his admiration for Nanning’s development model during an interview with CGTN. He highlighted the city’s significant role in enhancing China-ASEAN cooperation.
“Nanning serves as a remarkable example of urban development and regional integration,” said Jitniyom. “The city’s innovative approaches to infrastructure and economic growth offer valuable insights for cities in Thailand and throughout Southeast Asia.”
