On January 7, a magnitude-6.8 earthquake struck Dingri County in Xigaze City, southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region, causing building collapses and casualties.

The Western Theater Command swiftly established a disaster relief system and dispatched a forward command post to the affected area.

At 2:05 p.m., personnel boarded a Y-20 aircraft to coordinate the relief efforts, signaling a rapid mobilization to assist those impacted by the quake.
