Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi has expressed Iran’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with members of BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). In an interview with China Media Group, Araghchi highlighted the significant potential of these international mechanisms in achieving shared objectives.
“Iran will work with other members of BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, both very important cooperation mechanisms with bright prospects, to achieve common goals and visions,” Araghchi stated.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that collaboration within these groups is crucial for addressing global challenges and fostering economic growth. Iran’s engagement with BRICS and the SCO reflects its strategic aim to enhance regional partnerships and contribute to multilateral initiatives.
BRICS, comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, represents major emerging economies, while the SCO is a Eurasian political, economic, and security alliance. Iran’s active participation in these organizations underscores its dedication to regional cooperation and development.
