The vibrant city of Chengdu in Southwest China came alive this weekend as it hosted the 2024 World Dance Sport Federation World Breaking Championship. Over Friday and Saturday, more than 200 attendees, including athletes, coaches, and referees, gathered to celebrate the dynamic art of breaking.

B-girl India Sardjoe from the Netherlands wowed the audience and judges alike to claim the women’s championship. On the men’s side, B-boy Hishikawa Isshin from Japan showcased exceptional skill to secure the men’s title.

The event not only highlighted the athletes’ prowess but also fostered cultural exchange and camaraderie among participants from various countries.
