In an exclusive interview with China Media Group (CMG), Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević lauded China’s urban development and modernization efforts. During his visit to the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, Vučević described the experience as “inspiring,” emphasizing how China’s progress serves as a model for other nations.
“China’s unique approach to modernization is truly remarkable,” Vučević said. “Their willingness to share development experiences with other countries is a testament to their collaborative spirit and global outlook.”
Strengthening Serbia-China Friendship
The Prime Minister highlighted the deep friendship between Serbia and China, expressing a shared aspiration to build a better future for both peoples. “Our relationship with China is rooted in mutual respect and common goals,” he noted. “We are committed to strengthening our ties and exploring new avenues of cooperation.”
Inspiration from the Import Expo
Vučević was particularly impressed by the scale and organization of the CIIE. He observed that the expo reflects China’s openness and commitment to global trade and collaboration. “The CIIE is more than an exhibition; it’s a platform for countries to connect, learn, and grow together,” he remarked.

As Serbia continues to develop its own economy, Vučević sees valuable lessons in China’s approach to modernization. “We can learn much from China’s experiences in urban development and modernization,” he stated. “Their progress inspires us to pursue our development goals with determination and innovation.”
