Qinhuangdao’s Spring Blossoms Draw Global Visitors to Ancient Trees

Qinhuangdao, a coastal city in Hebei Province, has become a floral wonderland this spring as its pear and magnolia blossoms reach peak bloom. In Qinglong County, over 6.6 square kilometers of pear trees – including 5,000 century-old specimens – create a fragrant sea of white flowers attracting more than 10,000 daily visitors to its 17th annual Pear Blossom Festival.

Meanwhile, Changli County's historic Shuiyan Temple showcases a dozen ancient magnolia trees flowering simultaneously for 20 days. This dual blossoming pattern has created a unique tourism corridor, with travel agencies reporting increased interest from international visitors and photography enthusiasts.

Local horticulturists note the synchronized blooming periods offer rare opportunities to study plant adaptation in temperate climates. For cultural explorers, the blossoms coincide with traditional tea ceremonies and calligraphy exhibitions celebrating spring' renewal across northeast China's coastal regions.
