On July 16, tourists at Tianding Lake International Tourism Resort in Wencheng County, Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, boarded unmanned electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) and soared over the surrounding lake and canyons. Flying at an altitude of 600 meters, they experienced breathtaking aerial views of the picturesque landscape.
This innovative aerial tourism experience is part of Wencheng County’s initiative to develop cultural tourism through low-altitude flight attractions. The county is planning five major tourist activities, including eVTOL experience tours, helicopter flying tours, rotorcraft sports tours, hot air balloon waterfall sightseeing tours, and drone aerial photography tours.
To support these activities, five low-altitude routes are being established around Feiyun Lake, Tongling Mountain, and Tianding Lake. These routes aim to provide visitors with diverse aerial perspectives of the region’s natural beauty, actively promoting low-altitude tourism and enhancing the cultural appeal of Wencheng County.
The introduction of unmanned eVTOL flights offers an exhilarating adventure for travelers and signifies Wencheng County’s commitment to innovative tourism development. By integrating cutting-edge technology with scenic attractions, the region is poised to become a premier destination for tourists seeking unique and dynamic experiences in Zhejiang Province.
