As the Lantern Festival approaches on February 24, the city of Taiyuan in Shanxi Province is preparing to dazzle residents and visitors with a breathtaking display. A colossal “Chinese Dragon” installation, situated in the Fenhe River Scenic Area, has been meticulously refurbished by skilled lantern craftsmen to brave the winter winds and snow.

The magnificent dragon spans an impressive length of 126 meters, boasts a head height of 16 meters, and has a body diameter of 3.5 meters. Weighing in at 20 tons, this spectacular creation is equipped with special sets of energy-saving lights that promise to illuminate the night sky in a vivid display of color and artistry.
