Thousands of locals and visitors gathered to witness the mesmerizing “iron flower rain,” a captivating spectacle where molten iron is flung into the air, creating cascades of golden sparks that resemble a brilliant display of fireworks. This intangible cultural heritage practice dates back over a thousand years, rooted in traditional Chinese celebrations to ward off evil spirits and usher in prosperity.
Craftsmen, donned in protective gear, skillfully tossed ladles of molten iron against cold surfaces, causing the iron to explode into showers of sparks that lit up the night sky.
