At the heart of this tradition is 65-year-old Wei Jiequn, a master artisan and guardian of the national-level intangible cultural heritage of Liubao tea production.

For over four decades, Wei has devoted his life to perfecting the art of Liubao tea, a beloved beverage known for its rich flavor and health benefits. His dedication not only preserves the traditional handcrafting techniques passed down through generations but also breathes new life into the local tea industry.

"Liubao tea is more than just a drink; it's a symbol of our culture and heritage," Wei shares with a warm smile. "Every step in its production carries the essence of our history."

Understanding the importance of keeping these traditions alive, Wei established a master studio within the tea factory. Here, he offers extensive training courses to local tea farmers, ensuring that the intricate processes of cultivating, harvesting, and processing Liubao tea remain a living practice.

The training programs have empowered numerous farmers, enhancing their skills and fostering a deeper appreciation for their craft. "Through Wei's guidance, we've learned to honor our customs while also meeting modern demands," says one of his apprentices.

Liubao tea, renowned for its deep red hue and mellow taste, has been cherished since the Qing Dynasty. Today, it continues to gain international recognition, thanks in part to the efforts of dedicated individuals like Wei.
