Harbin’s skyline is set to dazzle as the finishing touches are added to the main tower of this year’s Harbin Ice and Snow World Park in northeastern China. Standing at an impressive 43 meters tall, the dragon-themed ice tower is constructed from 13,000 cubic meters of ice and illuminated with vibrant colors such as bright red, blue, and orange.
Over the course of 11 days, a dedicated team of ice construction workers, snow carving craftsmen, electricians, and safety officers braved freezing temperatures to bring this architectural marvel to life. The tower’s design incorporates elements of Chinese dragon motifs, resembling a dragon emerging from water, symbolizing the upcoming Year of the Dragon in 2024.
This spectacular structure showcases the rich cultural heritage and natural landscape of Harbin, located in Heilongjiang Province. As one of the highlights of the annual ice and snow festival, the tower is poised to welcome visitors from around the globe, offering a unique blend of artistry, tradition, and innovation.
Harbin Ice and Snow World Park has long been a beacon for tourists, scholars, and cultural enthusiasts, drawing attention to the city’s dynamic role in global cultural events. The unveiling of the dragon-themed tower is expected to boost tourism, provide business opportunities, and foster cultural exchange, reinforcing Harbin’s position as a premier destination in Asia.
