China Dominates Global Humanoid Robot Market in 2025, IDC Reports

Chinese Firms Drive 508% Surge in Global Shipments

Global humanoid robot shipments skyrocketed to 18,000 units in 2025, with Chinese companies capturing the majority of market share, according to an International Data Corporation (IDC) report. Revenue reached $440 million, driven by full-size models that accounted for 41.6% of total sales due to their versatile applications.

AgiBot and Unitree Lead Production Race

AgiBot shipped 5,200 units last year, including 1,300 full-size robots, while Unitree Robotics claims it exceeded 5,500 deliveries. Over 330 humanoid robot models were unveiled in the Chinese mainland in 2025, as confirmed by Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology.

Entertainment Robots Top Usage Charts

Performance and commercial robots led 2025 shipments, followed by research/education models and industrial automation units. IDC analyst Li Junlan predicts the market will shift toward competition in AI ecosystems and specialized applications, urging smaller firms to focus on niche sectors.
