NVIDIA Resumes H20 GPU Sales to China Amid Tech Expansion

NVIDIA announced plans to restart sales of its H20 artificial intelligence chips to the Chinese mainland this week, signaling a potential thaw in U.S.-China tech trade relations. The California-based company confirmed it is finalizing export license applications with U.S. authorities and expects approvals imminently.

"We\u2019ll start to sell H20s to the Chinese market. I\u2019m looking forward to shipping them very soon," CEO Jensen Huang told reporters in Beijing ahead of his appearance at the China International Supply Chain Expo. The H20 GPU \u2013 a modified version designed to comply with U.S. export controls \u2013 serves critical roles in AI development and data center operations.

Industry analysts suggest the move could ease supply chain pressures for Chinese tech firms while maintaining NVIDIA\u2019s foothold in the world\u2019s second-largest economy. The development comes as global businesses closely watch how multinational corporations navigate evolving semiconductor trade policies.
