Meta announced Wednesday it will integrate AI-driven video editing features into its Meta AI platform, enabling users to create and modify short videos using preset prompts. The update aims to simplify content creation for social media enthusiasts and professionals alike.
Inspired by its proprietary Movie Gen AI models, the tools currently offer 50 presets for crafting 10-second clips. Meta emphasized its collaboration with creators to design intuitive templates, which will debut in its Edits app. Additional customization options are slated for release later this year.
The move expands Meta AI's existing image-generation capabilities, positioning it as a potential alternative to third-party editing apps. A company blog post stated: "We built this…so everyone can experiment creatively and make fun, interesting videos."
