China’s independently developed AG600 large amphibious aircraft has embarked on a full-scale fatigue test, marking a significant milestone in its development. The Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), the country’s leading aircraft manufacturer and the developer of the AG600, announced the commencement of the testing phase on Wednesday.
The fatigue test is being conducted at the Aircraft Strength Research Institute of China, situated in Yanliang District of Xi’an City, northwest China’s Shaanxi Province. This comprehensive testing aims to assess the aircraft’s structural integrity and durability, providing essential data for its future enhancements.
According to AVIC, the test will provide an important basis for the future life extension and modification of the AG600 aircraft. This phase is crucial for ensuring the aircraft’s reliability and performance in various operational conditions.
The AG600 represents a significant advancement in China’s aviation industry, highlighting the nation’s progress in developing large-scale amphibious aircraft. Insights gained from this fatigue testing will contribute to the aircraft’s continued improvement and operational readiness.
