The 14th China International Digital Publishing Expo commenced on Saturday in Haikou, south China’s Hainan Province, drawing approximately 500 companies participating both online and offline.
Focusing on innovation in digital content creation, technologies, business channels, and models, the expo features a variety of exhibitions, forums, and interactive on-site activities.
A diverse range of digital products and technologies is on display, including e-books, audiobooks, databases, online games, and advancements in the metaverse, virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR).
Highlighting local characteristics, the exhibition group from north China’s Shanxi Province—home to many of the stunning locations in the popular Chinese-made video game “Black Myth: Wukong”—is showcasing publications that introduce Shanxi’s ancient architecture and cultural heritage, as experienced along Wukong’s journey in the game.
Attendees from both home and abroad will engage in discussions on international cooperation in digital publishing, aiming to bolster the industry’s high-quality development.
The event is scheduled to run through Monday.
