China is set to fast-track its new industrialization efforts to bolster the nation’s modernization drive, according to Jin Zhuanglong, Minister of Industry and Information Technology.
Jin highlighted plans to develop a modern industrial system centered on advanced manufacturing. The initiative aims to deepen the integration of the real economy with the digital economy, enhance the resilience and security of industrial and supply chains, and promote high-quality growth among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The minister emphasized large-scale technological upgrades in the manufacturing sector, focusing on improving competitiveness across the entire industrial chain. Key areas of development include intelligent connected new-energy vehicles and lithium batteries.
In addition, China plans to cultivate new growth engines in sectors such as bio-manufacturing, commercial aerospace, and the low-altitude economy. Emerging fields like humanoid robots, 6G technology, and atomic-level manufacturing are also set to receive significant attention.
These initiatives are poised to solidify China’s position in the global industrial landscape and contribute to its goal of modernization.
