At Tsinghua University’s Dushi College, Vietnamese undergraduate student Nguyen Dinh Vuong Dung is charting a path toward a future intertwined with technological innovation and cross-cultural collaboration. In an engaging conversation with CGTN’s Enoch Wong, Nguyen shared his motivations for choosing to study in the Chinese mainland over other global education hubs.
“China’s rapid advancements in technology, especially in aerospace, high-speed rail, and logistics, were a significant draw for me,” Nguyen explained. “I wanted to immerse myself in an environment where innovation is at the forefront, and the Chinese mainland offers that opportunity.”
Nguyen reflected on how the vibrant youth culture resonates with his aspirations. “The energy here is palpable,” he said. “Young people are actively shaping the future, and being a part of this dynamic community is inspiring.”
The recent state visit by Vietnam’s president has created a buzz among Vietnamese students in China. “There’s a sense of excitement and hope,” Nguyen noted. “We are optimistic about deepening cooperation between Vietnam and China. As students, we see ourselves as bridges connecting our countries.”
He emphasized the crucial role of young people in driving future technological development and strengthening bilateral ties. “Our generation has the responsibility to foster understanding and collaboration,” Nguyen stated. “By combining our strengths, we can contribute to significant advancements that benefit both nations.”
