The crew of Shenzhou-18, currently aboard China’s orbiting space station, has successfully conducted a fire alarm test to evaluate the performance of fire detection sensors within the station’s three-module craft.
The China Manned Space Agency released video updates showcasing the three taikonauts as they utilized specialized tools to activate temperature and smoke detectors. This activation triggered fire alarms, illuminating lights and instruments designed for emergency response.
In addition to the fire alarm test, the taikonauts performed blood sampling experiments. These biomedical procedures are crucial for understanding the effects of long-duration spaceflight on human physiology, contributing valuable data for future missions.
The Shenzhou-18 mission continues China’s advancements in space exploration, highlighting the nation’s commitment to ensuring the safety and health of its taikonauts while conducting significant scientific research in orbit.
