CGTN and CSCEC Launch ‘Age of Intelligence’ Events in Beijing

To showcase China’s innovative engineering achievements, CGTN, in collaboration with China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), launched the “Age of Intelligence: Crafting the Future” series of events in Beijing on Friday.

The event was attended by prominent figures including Fan Yun, deputy editor-in-chief of China Media Group and editor-in-chief of CGTN; Zheng Xuexuan, chairman of CSCEC; and Xu Yanhao, chairman of the Chinese Society for Science and Technology Journalism.

In his address, Fan Yun emphasized that building a strong and modern socialist country relies not only on the “hard power” of central enterprises in the economic field but also on the support of “soft power” through international communication.

He highlighted that telling the story of Chinese engineering benefiting the world helps Chinese enterprises create better overseas business environments, enhances comprehensive competitiveness, and contributes to China’s global image.

According to Zheng Xuexuan, CSCEC and CGTN have jointly launched a series of high-quality projects showcasing the impact of “Made in China” on work and life overseas. He stated that these initiatives present innovative Chinese solutions to global issues from a new international perspective.

Additionally, Xu Yanhao noted that CGTN has made forward-looking arrangements for the international communication of technology-related reports. He affirmed that CGTN, with its global perspective and world-class production standards, is capable of effectively promoting China’s national science and technology strategies.
