China and France Celebrate 60 Years of Diplomacy at High-Level Forum in Paris

China and France have commemorated the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic relations by hosting the China-France High-Level Forum on People-to-People Exchanges in Paris on Tuesday. The event was co-hosted by the China Public Diplomacy Association, China Media Group (CMG), and the Chinese Embassy in France.

In a video address, CMG President Shen Haixiong highlighted the enduring friendship between the two nations, describing bilateral relations as “two pearls shining brightly in the long river of human history.” He emphasized the importance of cultural and people-to-people exchanges in strengthening mutual understanding and cooperation.

The forum brought together government officials, scholars, and representatives from various sectors to discuss opportunities for collaboration in culture, education, science, and technology. Participants explored ways to deepen ties and promote shared values between the Chinese and French people.

The 60th anniversary marks a significant milestone in China-France relations, reflecting six decades of partnership and dialogue. Both countries expressed their commitment to advancing their strategic partnership and fostering peace and development on the global stage.
