China has unveiled its first self-developed general-purpose humanoid robot, Tiangong, marking a significant leap in robotics technology. Introduced at the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area on Saturday, Tiangong is hailed as the world’s first full-sized humanoid robot capable of running solely on electric drive.
Developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center Company, Tiangong can maintain a steady speed of six kilometers per hour. This independently developed platform is poised to revolutionize industry applications by offering scalable and open-source solutions.
The robot’s compatibility and scalability enable other robotics enterprises and research institutions to customize and study applications across various industries, including home services and industrial manufacturing. By addressing personalized market and user needs, Tiangong is set to promote large-scale commercial applications and foster innovation within the robotics field.
