Kyle Fogg Powers Shanghai Sharks to CBA Regular Season Crown

Kyle Fogg delivered a masterclass performance on Sunday, scoring 36 points to propel the Shanghai Sharks to an 88-83 victory over the Beijing Ducks. The win secured Shanghai's position as the top seed in the upcoming CBA Playoffs, capping a dominant regular season campaign.

With key players Hassan Whiteside and Kenneth Lofton sidelined, Fogg became the Sharks' offensive linchpin, sinking nine three-pointers during the match. His early dominance included four triples in the first quarter alone, setting a relentless pace that Beijing struggled to counter.

Beijing's Zhai Xiaochuan and JaVale McGee mounted repeated challenges, cutting Shanghai's 16-point halftime lead to seven in the final quarter. However, Fogg's clutch three-pointer with three minutes remaining extinguished the comeback attempt, while Wang Zhelin's 24-point, 17-rebound double-double anchored the Sharks' defense.

The victory extends Shanghai's winning streak to 19 games, establishing them as strong contenders for their first championship since 2022. With four regular season games remaining, the Sharks have already clinched home-court advantage throughout the playoffs starting later this month.
