Beijing Ducks Stage Thrilling Comeback Behind German’s 36-Point Outburst

Eugene German delivered a masterclass performance on Monday, scoring 36 points to lead the Beijing Ducks to a dramatic 106-92 comeback victory over the Nanjing Monkey Kings in the Chinese Basketball Association. The win marks the Ducks’ second consecutive triumph this week, solidifying their fifth-place standing with a 23-12 record this season.

After trailing by 14 points in the third quarter, German ignited Beijing’s rally with four three-pointers in a pivotal five-minute stretch. Teammate Chen Ying-Chun contributed 26 points, while captain Zhai Xiaochuan sealed the game with a clutch three-pointer in the final minutes. The Ducks’ defensive adjustments in the fourth quarter limited Nanjing to just 18 points, reversing earlier dominance by Guo Haowen and the visitors.

In parallel action, the Shenzhen Leopards extended their historic run with a 102-97 road win against the Xinjiang Flying Tigers. He Xining’s 32-point effort and Terquavion Smith’s game-sealing layup secured Shenzhen’s 10th straight victory, matching a franchise record set in 2021.
