Chinese Divers Dominate with Double Gold at World Aquatics Championships

China's diving team solidified its global dominance by securing two gold medals at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore on Monday. The victories came in the men's 3-meter synchronized springboard and women's 10-meter synchronized platform events, showcasing the nation's continued excellence in aquatic sports.

Newly paired divers Wang Zongyuan and Zheng Jiuyuan delivered a masterclass in the men's 3m springboard synchro final, earning 467.31 points to claim gold. The duo outperformed Mexico's Osmar Olvera Ibarra and Juan Manuel Celaya Hernandez – silver medalists at the 2024 Paris Olympics – while Britain's Jack Laugher and Anthony Harding took bronze.

"Each dive improved from prelims to final," said Wang, who now holds four consecutive world titles in this event. "As a new partnership, we channeled our nerves into precision." Zheng added: "This victory confirms my growth as an athlete after winning the 1m springboard title earlier."

The wins extend China's remarkable record in international diving competitions, reinforcing its reputation for developing world-class athletes through rigorous training programs. With the Paris Olympics approaching, these performances position Chinese divers as strong contenders for further podium success.
