Chinese divers showcased their dominance at the World University Games in Germany, securing a gold-silver finish in the women’s 3-meter springboard. Wang Weiying, fresh from earlier podium finishes in synchronized diving and platform events, delivered a flawless performance to claim gold with 344.25 points. Teammate Qu Zhixin followed closely with silver, while Germany’s Lena Hentschel earned bronze.
Swimming Team Battles for Medals
In the pool, China’s women’s 4x200m freestyle relay team of Ge Chutong, Yu Liyan, Liu Shuhan, and Ai Yanhan narrowly missed gold, finishing second behind the USA. Ai Yanhan also advanced to the 200m freestyle final as the third-fastest qualifier, while Ge Chutong secured a spot in the 200m individual medley final.
