China Dominates Artistic Swimming at World Aquatics Championships

China solidified its status as a global leader in artistic swimming with a commanding victory in the team free routine at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore on Sunday. The eight-member squad scored 348.4779 points with their gravity-defying "Gravitation" routine, outperforming silver medalist Japan (334.7232) and bronze winner Spain (321.1328).

This marks China's second gold at the event after Xu Huiyan's historic win in the women's solo technical event. Coach Zhang Xiaohuan praised the team's adaptability under new competition rules, stating: "The result shows the resilience of the team and the excellence of our athletes" despite last-minute substitutions.

China's consistent podium finishes over the past decade highlight its strategic investment in the sport. With events continuing through July 25, all eyes remain on Chinese athletes as they compete in remaining categories including duet and mixed team competitions.
