He, a Beijing Sport University student and national games champion, paired seamlessly with Lu from Chengdu Sport University, who previously won world championship gold in 2019.
Their victory was sealed through a series of near-flawless dives, including a standout fourth attempt that earned 80.64 points – the highest single-score of the final. The pair finished with 330.18 total points, outpacing Germany's silver medal performance by 35.58 points, while the United States secured bronze.
