Taklimakan Rally Stage 6: Thrills, Challenges, and Stunning Landscapes

The Taklimakan Rally's sixth stage delivered high-octane drama on Tuesday as competitors battled 288 kilometers of wetlands, Gobi plains, and desert dunes in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The final leg of this year's endurance test saw both seasoned riders and emerging teams push their limits against nature's obstacles.

Motorcycle Division Dominance

Chongqing Hoto Factory Team continued its strong showing, with Czech rider Martin Michek securing his latest stage win in 2 hours, 54 minutes, and 54 seconds. Partnered with Lithuanian Arunas Gelazninkas, the duo now commands a decisive lead in the overall standings.

Car Category Showdown

In four-wheeled competition, Shaanxi Yunxiang Club's Liu Yangui and navigator Chen Feng emerged as championship contenders. However, the stage victory went to Hebei Qian'an Jiujiang Auto and Motorcycle Sports Club's Fan Gaoxiang and Fu Liguo, who completed the grueling course in 4:06:30.

Organizers announced a surprise addition for Wednesday's schedule: an 82-kilometer Stage 7 through Yecheng County's mixed desert-Gobi terrain, promising fresh challenges in Kashgar Prefecture's striking landscapes.
