The Chinese pair defeated South Korea's Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin in straight sets, setting up a gold medal clash against Japan's Maharu Yoshimura and Satsuki Odo. Their seamless coordination and aggressive playstyle kept opponents on defense throughout the match.

Wang's Singles Masterclass

Wang later delivered a 4-0 victory over Lin Yun-Ju of the Chinese Taipei team, leveraging his signature southpaw angles and powerful forehands. The 46-minute match saw Wang dominate crucial points, with the final set ending 12-10. He faces Sweden's Truls Moregard next after the latter's comeback win against Japan's Shunsuke Togami.

Rising Stars and Veteran Clashes

Fifth-ranked Liang Jingkun eliminated top-seeded compatriot Lin Shidong in a seven-set thriller, advancing to face Brazil's Hugo Calderano. Calderano defeated South Korea's An Jae-hyun 4-1, setting up a high-stakes semifinal.

Sun Yingsha's singles campaign continues Saturday as China aims to retain its table tennis supremacy.
