A dramatic late equalizer denied Zhejiang FC a much-needed Chinese Super League (CSL) victory on Friday, while Yunnan Yukun solidified their momentum with a commanding 2-0 win over Meizhou Hakka.
Zhejiang's clash with Henan FC unfolded as a tale of two halves. Henan struck first through Felippe Cardoso's seventh-minute opener, but Zhejiang's Tao Qianglong stole the spotlight before halftime. The 24-year-old forward netted twice in quick succession—first capitalizing on Franko Andrijasevic's cross, then firing a clinical strike to complete his brace. His four-goal season tally now marks a career high in the CSL.
Henan refused to surrender, however. Substitute Liu Xinyu became the hero in the 87th minute, redirecting Bruno Nazario's lofted pass with a deft header to secure a 2-2 draw. The result leaves Zhejiang winless in three matches, while Henan salvaged a critical point in their mid-table campaign.
Meanwhile, Yunnan Yukun continued their rise with a dominant performance against struggling Meizhou Hakka. Alexandru Ionita's 19th-minute opener and Ye Chugui's second-half strike against his former club sealed Yunnan's third consecutive victory. The win strengthens their position in the upper tier of the standings, while Meizhou's fourth straight loss deepens their relegation concerns.
