Chen Yiwen described the event as "relaxing,\" emphasizing the team's collaborative spirit. "We enjoyed the competition and trusted each other,\" she said. Chen Yuxi, overcoming earlier challenges, expressed satisfaction with her improved dives: "I’m glad they turned out well this time."
Wang Zongyuan acknowledged personal struggles but praised his teammates for their support. Meanwhile, debutant Cheng Zilong highlighted managing nerves: "I focused on staying calm."
The victory sets the tone for China's campaign as athletes advance to key finals. Chen Yiwen and Chen Jia topped the women’s 3m springboard preliminaries, while Cheng Zilong and Zhu Zifeng qualified in the men’s 10m platform. Saturday’s lineup features the much-anticipated showdown between Chen Yuxi and Quan Hongchan in the women’s 10m platform final.
