Mbappé Reunites with France Squad Ahead of Nations League Quarter-Finals

Kylian Mbappé expressed enthusiasm about reuniting with the France national team ahead of their UEFA Nations League quarter-final clash against Croatia, marking his return after a six-month absence from international football. The 26-year-old forward, who missed recent matches due to injury and a transitional period with new club Real Madrid, emphasized his joy at being back with teammates.

"I feel good, I feel happy to be playing football, I feel happy to be here,"

Mbappé said during a press conference in Split, Croatia. The French captain highlighted the camaraderie within the squad, adding, "Most of the teammates here, we talk pretty much all the time. It’s a pleasure to be back."

Mbappé’s move to Real Madrid in 2024 brought challenges, with the player admitting his form dipped initially. Reflecting on his adaptation, he stated, "A career is not linear. You have to refocus on what makes you happy and get back to work."

France faces Croatia in Split on Thursday, followed by a return leg in Paris three days later. The matches mark a critical juncture for Les Bleus as they aim to secure a Nations League semifinal spot.
