Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's Oksana Chusovitina, 49, defied age and expectations by winning gold in the women's vault with a score of 13.561. The gymnastics legend, who holds the record for eight Olympic appearances, continues to inspire athletes worldwide. Slovenia's Teja Belak claimed silver in the same category.
