The primary Athletes' Village for ice event participants has entered its pre-opening phase, signaling the final countdown to the grand event.

Arrival and departure services officially began on January 27 and will operate until February 17, ensuring smooth transitions for the influx of competitors and officials. At Harbin Taiping International Airport, delegations from various nations and regions were greeted by staff members who assisted them in activating their identification cards after verification. The efficient process allowed athletes to swiftly proceed to their accommodations, including the main Athletes' Village dedicated to ice events.

The Athletes' Village is poised to be a hub of activity and comfort, offering living quarters, dining facilities, medical care, and a range of other services. Designed to cater to approximately 1,000 participants from more than 20 nations and regions, the village epitomizes the spirit of hospitality and cultural exchange that the Games promote.

Li Wei, chief coordinator of the Athletes' Village, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming influx of athletes. \"We have meticulously prepared every aspect of the village to ensure that all participants feel at home and can focus on delivering their best performances,\" he stated.

The remaining Athletes' Villages are scheduled to pre-open on Thursday, January 30, further expanding the accommodation options for the athletes competing in various disciplines.
