CBA: Shandong Dominates Jilin; Zhejiang Halts Losing Streak with Victory over Ningbo

In an exciting night of basketball action in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Thursday, the Shandong Kylins soared to a commanding 117-84 victory over the Jilin Northeast Tigers at home, marking their second consecutive win. Meanwhile, the Zhejiang Golden Bulls snapped their three-game losing streak with an impressive 119-93 triumph over the Ningbo Rockets.

Shandong Kylins Dominate Jilin Northeast Tigers

The Shandong Kylins showcased a balanced offense with five players scoring in double digits. Midway through the first quarter, Marquese Chriss connected with Jarmar Gulley, whose layup put Shandong ahead by five points. Dallas Moore further extended the lead late in the second period with a three-pointer assisted by Chen Peidong. Moore continued to orchestrate the offense, setting up Chriss for a powerful dunk that energized the home crowd.

After halftime, Xie Zhijie found Chriss for another emphatic jam, prompting Jilin to call a timeout in hopes of regaining composure. The Northeast Tigers attempted to rally, with Jia Hao assisting Kavell Bigby-Williams for a smooth layup that cut the deficit to 18 points. However, Shandong maintained control, and Hou Peizuo’s jumper in the final moments sealed the decisive victory. The loss handed Jilin their third consecutive defeat.

Zhejiang Golden Bulls Crush Ningbo Rockets

Over in Zhejiang, the Golden Bulls dominated the Ningbo Rockets, fueled by a stellar performance from Damian Jones. The former NBA center was unstoppable early on, contributing 17 points in the first quarter alone, including a three-pointer that pushed the hosts’ lead to seven. Jones continued to shine throughout the game, finishing with a double-double of 33 points and 11 rebounds.

After the break, Jones’s aggressive drive for a layup extended Zhejiang’s lead to 14 points. His long-range shooting was equally impressive, with another three-pointer widening the gap to 17. Gabe York added to the offensive onslaught, tallying a game-high 38 points. The Golden Bulls cruised to a 26-point victory, ending their losing streak, while the Rockets suffered their fourth straight loss.
